NORWALK, Calif. (AP) - A motorist who stopped his car on a Los Angeles-area freeway and started throwing things at passing traffic was arrested after he drove the wrong way in lanes and was rammed by two California Highway Patrol officers.
City News Service says the chase ended Monday morning on northbound Interstate 5 in Norwalk, where CHP officers forced the suspect’s vehicle into a spin.
Another CHP vehicle struck the vehicle in its side and boxed it in. An officer broke out at least one window before the driver was dragged out.
The pursuit began when officers received reports that a motorist was driving erratically and had thrown items into lanes.
Toward the end of the chase, the man made a U-turn and drove south in the northbound lanes.
