CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say two people have been killed in a fire at a suburban Buffalo home.

Police in the town of Cheektowaga (cheek-tuh-WAH’-guh) tell local media outlets that the fire was reported around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday. Officials say one victim was found in the front of the house and the other was found in a back room on the first floor.

Authorities say the floor caved into the basement, making it difficult for firefighters to enter the home.

The victims’ names haven’t been released.

Officials say the cause of the blaze is being investigated.
