NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - A 25-year-old Hershey man has made a plea deal and been convicted of vehicular homicide for a crash near Sutherland last year.

Micah Koch pleaded no contest to the charge on Monday. Prosecutors dropped a drunken-driving charge in exchange for Koch’s plea. His sentencing is scheduled for April 28.

Authorities say Koch was drunk when he crashed a pickup on Jan. 27, 2013. A passenger, 24-year-old Korey Huebner, was fatally injured. Another passenger, Jay Shotkoski, was hurt.
