NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Martin Smith and J.C. Hampton pumped in 21 points each as Lipscomb overwhelmed Florida Gulf Coast with hot 3-point shooting in a 92-71 upset win Thursday night.

Lipscomb (14-14, 9-8 Atlantic Sun) opened the game with a barrage of six straight 3-pointers to take a lead that was never challenged.

FGCU (19-11, 13-4), which trailed 58-38 at the break, kept pace in the second half but couldn’t erase the 20-point deficit.
