HANOVER, N.H. (AP) - Scholars from multiple countries who specialize in comics, graphic novels and animated films are heading to Dartmouth College for a weekend conference.

The second annual “Illustration, Comics and Animation” conference gets underway Friday. Associate Professor of English Michael Chaney says the primary goal is to bring a longstanding divide between scholarship on moving and still images.

Friday night’s schedule includes a question-and-answer session featuring artists and authors from the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Vt. Conference sessions are open to the public.
