ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - The University of New Mexico now has more parking to cater to Lobos fans who are disabled.

KOB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/Lprcon) UNM added a new overflow parking lot with handicap parking spaces on Saturday, which was a day of a home basketball game.

School officials had recently received complaints from disabled ticketholders who said they were forced to walk far distances to get to The Pit for a game.

School administrators also arranged for shuttles to pick people up from the extra lot, which was set up in the Baseball South parking lot.

The Pit only has 137 handicap accessible parking spaces.
