YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Some children suffered minor injuries when two Lincoln Consolidated Schools buses crashed in Washtenaw County.

The accident happened Friday morning near Ypsilanti.

Huron Valley Ambulance spokeswoman Joyce Williams tells The Ann Arbor News both buses were carrying students, and four children were taken to hospitals. According to WDIV-TV, one child had a bloody nose and others complained of neck pain.

Williams says a fifth patient was taken to a hospital as well.

WXYZ-TV and WJBK-TV report one of the buses rear-ended the other one. Authorities say the buses were transporting a total of about 90 children ages 6 to 10.

After the accident, the buses pulled into the parking lot of a nearby elementary school, so students could be checked out by paramedics.
