PHOENIX (AP) - The city of Prescott is getting about 500 new road signs thanks to money being provided by the federal government.

Officials say the money is coming to the city through the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Funds program being administered by the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The effort aims to improve roadway safety throughout the region by replacing stop signs and speed limit signs over the next month.
