NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Three people were injured and three arrests were made after a fight erupted outside the Prudential Center in Newark.

City police tell The Star-Ledger (https://bit.ly/1eIwDdo) that officers responded to reports of shots fired around 1:50 a.m. Saturday and saw a large crowd near two parked cars.

They soon found a 26-year-old woman in one vehicle had been shot in the foot and a man in the other vehicle had a leg injury, though it wasn’t clear if he had been shot.

The injured man and two other people who were with him were all charged with weapons offenses.

Authorities say a man who claimed he tried to break up the fight was shot once in the leg and driven to a hospital by a friend before police arrived.
