FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say a 23-year-old Fayetteville man was killed when his motorcycle rear-ended a car and he was thrown from the vehicle.

A state police report says Robert Robinson was eastbound on a city street about 1:30 p.m. Saturday when he tried to pass a car that had stopped to turn - and instead rear-ended the car and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Police say Robinson landed in the eastbound lane of traffic and was hit by a sport utility vehicle.

Police say Robinson was dead at the scene and the other drivers were not injured.
