ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - LSU AgCenter will offer a central Louisiana forestry forum on Feb. 25.

The Town Talk reported (https://townta.lk/1g1QUKX) sessions will be in the state evacuation shelter at the Dean Lee Research and Extension Station next to the campus of Louisiana State University-Alexandria campus.

Registration will be at 8 a.m. The program will run from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. with a break for lunch.

The fee is $25 per person for anyone who pre-register by Feb. 21. The fee is $40 per person for registration after Feb. 21. Lunch is included.

Topics to be covered include the future of AgCenter forestry extension work, the biomass industry in Louisiana, estate planning, the status of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry’s firefighting capabilities and other issues facing the forestry industry.
