GRAY, La. (AP) - State police say a 45-year-old Bourg man was killed after his pickup traveled off La. Highway 24 in Gray and struck a utility pole guy wire.

Troopers say Ronnie Ard was driving north about 3 a.m. Monday when he veered off the right side of the road, rolled into a ditch, struck a driveway and spun until it struck the guy wire.

Investigators say Ard was pronounced dead on the scene by the Terrebonne Parish Coroner’s Office.
