RENO, Nev. (AP) - Nevada senior point guard Deonte Burton has been named the Mountain West Conference’s Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Burton averaged 21.5 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in a pair of victories as Nevada extended its league record to 4-0, 9-8 overall.

Burton shot 58.6 percent from the field with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 4-to-1.

Against UNLV on Wednesday, he scored 29 points as Nevada snapped an eight-game losing streak to the Rebels, 74-71. He had 14 points, five assists and three rebounds in Saturdays’ 62-54 victory over Utah State.
