GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A former postal worker has notified federal court officials she plans to plead guilty to stealing mail while working in D’Iberville and Ocean Springs.

The plea hearing for Juanita C. Rauch is set for Jan. 29 in U.S. District Court.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1eBsXb0 ) her attorney filed a notice of intent Friday to change her plea to guilty.

A grand jury indicted her in October on two counts of mail theft.

She was accused of stealing a Target gift card from the mail while working for the U.S. Postal Service in D’Iberville.

She also was accused of stealing a Walmart gift card and cash while working in Ocean Springs.

Rauch pleaded not guilty at her arraignment in November.

She is free on an unsecured $25,000 bond.
