MARIANNA, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in western Pennsylvania say a motorcyclist missing since last weekend was found dead in a creek.

State police in Washington County said 25-year-old Richard Lawry Jr. was last seen at about 2 a.m. Sunday when he left his Marianna home to return a motorcycle to its owner.

A state police helicopter spotted the motorcycle Monday over an embankment near Ten Mile Creek in West Bethlehem Township.

Officials said Lawry’s body was found almost a mile downstream from the crash scene.

Police said Lawry had head injuries, but the cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy.
