GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - An Israel-based robotics technology company has announced plans to develop its American headquarters in north Georgia.

The Gainesville Times (https://bit.ly/1iP4rpH ) reported Tuesday that innoBots, which manufactures devices used to find explosives for the military and law enforcement, is planning to locate its U.S. headquarters in Hall County.

The company’s CEO Carmi Peleg says the company is excited to produce unmanned systems on American soil to help fight the war on terror.

Peleg says the company chose to expand in Georgia because of the support it received from the state Department of Economic Development, academic institutions and a skilled labor force.

The company is planning to hire at least 50 employees over the next two years.
