SAN DIEGO (AP) - A judge has ordered a trial for a biotechnology entrepreneur accused of shooting and wounding his former business partner and his brother-in-law.

U-T San Diego reports (https://bit.ly/1d1e3eZ) Hans Petersen remains jailed on $5 million bail following a preliminary hearing Monday during which one of his victims detailed the Sept. 2013 attack.

At the end of the hearing Judge Leo Valentine Jr. found there’s enough evidence for Petersen to stand trial for attempted murder.

Ron Fletcher recalled the day he stepped out of the shower and found his brother-in-law at the bathroom door with a gun. Petersen is suspected of shooting Fletcher over the role his brother-in-law played in his separation from his wife.

Earlier that day Petersen allegedly shot Steven Dowdy. Prosecutors say Petersen blamed Dowdy for losing his job.
