OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say strong winds are to blame for the overturning of a semitrailer Tuesday that blocked traffic between Omaha and Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Omaha television station KETV reports (https://bit.ly/1fvG1Uo) that the crash happened around 12:20 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-80 near the Missouri River bridge on the Iowa side. Strong winds are believed to be the caused the truck to tip over on its side.

The Iowa Department of Transportation website indicates the westbound lanes of the interstate were entirely blocked as emergency crews responded.

By 1:45 p.m., the crash had been cleared and normal traffic had been restored.
