JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A federal jury in Mississippi has convicted a woman on four charges related to a tornado assistance claim made with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Idella Jones was charged with falsely claiming that a house in Lexington was her primary residence when it was hit by a tornado in 2010.

She was convicted Friday in U.S. District Court in Jackson.

Jones, also known as Idella Jefferson, was scheduled to plead guilty on Oct. 8, but the judge prosecutors weren’t satisfied that Jones was admitting guilt.

Sentencing is March 21.
