MADISON, Wis. (AP) - New revenue estimates expected to show Wisconsin’s state budget with a huge surplus are to be released on Thursday.

The nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau plans to release the updated budget projection. Gov. Scott Walker’s spokeswoman Jocelyn Webster says it’s expected to show state tax collections are hundreds of millions of dollars above previous estimates.

Webster says Walker plans to lay out a property tax cut and income tax withholding plan during his State of the State address on Jan. 22.

Democrats are already raising concerns about Walker’s plan to cut taxes, saying he instead should be focused on finding ways to create jobs.

The Legislature last year cut income taxes by $650 million and property taxes by $100 million.
