MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot officials are taking another run at a school bond issue.

Residents defeated a $125 million proposal for schools on Dec. 10, but the school board plans to roll out a scaled back version this spring.

The revamped bond issue would pay for construction of a new elementary school, the construction of additions at Perkett and Edison elementary schools, and safety and security measures at all district schools.

School district business manager Scott Moum tells the Minot Daily News (https://bit.ly/1aCioSG) he expects the bond issue to be in the $35 to $40 million range. He says district will ask its consultant to fine-tune the proposal and come up with a firm dollar amount.
