TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Tuscaloosa police say two teens accused of stealing a doll from an 8-year-old girl at a Walmart store are free on bond.

Police say Sidney Morgan Hayne and Michael Wayne Olmstead, both 18, have been charged with theft. Authorities say Hayne has been released on $500 bond and Olmstead is free on $300 bond.

Police have said a male and female suspect were seen pushing a cart through the store on Dec. 14. A surveillance camera recorded as the man took a doll from someone else’s cart and put it into his while the doll’s owner looked at clothes with her grandmother.

Surveillance images showed a woman sitting inside the shopping cart holding a car seat at the time of the theft.

It’s unclear if they two have attorneys.
