OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma appeals court has scheduled a March 27 execution date for a 46-year-old man who was sentenced to death for the rape and murder of an 11-month-old girl.

The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals set the execution date Thursday for Charles Frederick Warner. An Oklahoma County jury convicted Warner of rape and first-degree murder in the 1997 death of Adriana Waller, the daughter of Warner’s girlfriend.

Warner’s original conviction in 1999 was overturned by the appeals court after it found the trial judge erred by seating a juror who said he had “a strong bias towards the death penalty.”

Warner was again convicted and sentenced to death in 2003.
