NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A Newark man will serve at least 32 years in prison for carjacking and sexually assaulting a woman in 2011.

Isaiah Greene’s full sentence imposed Friday is 40 years. He was given credit for time served and will be eligible for parole in 32 years.

Greene was convicted last April. Prosecutors alleged he approached the 21-year-old woman at the South Orange train station and demanded her phone and cash. He then made her drive her car while he assaulted her. The woman escaped by purposely crashing into a police vehicle.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said the 24-year-old Greene’s criminal record includes numerous juvenile offenses as well as three felony convictions.
