RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Wild Sheep Foundation Convention and Sports Expo is back in Reno for the 27th year in a row.

About 10,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event that got underway Thursday night at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and the Peppermill Resort & Casino.

It includes more than 400 exhibits from around the world featuring everything from furs and taxidermy, to art, jewelry and firearms.

Foundation President Gray Thornton says last year’s event helped raise $3.9 million for wild sheep conservation and wildlife resources.

The convention is open to the public at a cost of $15. Coupons for $5 off are available at Scolari’s, Sheels, Cabela’s, or Sportsman’s Warehouse. Children under 12 are free.
