OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Classes are canceled at Oklahoma City Public Schools on Friday because of cold temperatures.

Meanwhile, a wind chill advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Friday for many northern Oklahoma counties. The National Weather Service says much of northern Oklahoma will experience wind chill values between minus 5 degrees and 10 degrees below zero.

But temperatures are expected to warm up throughout the day Friday with highs predicted in the 40s.

The weather service warns that Oklahoma is still at risk for wildfires because of dry, breezy conditions. Burn bans are in effect in 13 Oklahoma counties.
