PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Two-time Olympic snowboard-cross champion Seth Wescott of Maine will not be going to the Olympics in Sochi.

The 37-year-old, who is recovering from a knee injury, lost to Nick Baumgartner for the final berth on the U.S. team.

Wescott, of Carrabassett Valley, tells the Portland Press Herald (https://bit.ly/KUEmcB ) that he will continue to compete and set his sights on the 2018 Winter Games.

Wescott won gold medals in snowboard cross in the 2006 and 2010 Olympics.
