GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Forsyth County Sheriff’s officials say a 39-year-old Gainesville man has died in a tree trimming accident.
The Forsyth News (https://bit.ly/1iyjWoS ) reports 39-year-old Jose Luiz Martinez died after falling about 40 feet to the ground Saturday in northeast Forsyth County.
County sheriff’s Sgt. Ron Simmons says Martinez wasn’t wearing safety equipment when he fell. It’s unclear how the man fell from the equipment he was using. Simmons says Martinez was part of a four-person crew and none of his co-workers saw him fall.
