LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The University District at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock says a church and a fitness club will move into a landmark vacant property near the campus.

The head of the district said Monday that 10 Fitness could be the largest private development in the area in several years.

The University District Partnership was set up to redevelop the neighborhoods and commercial areas near UALR. The fitness club and the Mosaic church will be located in an old Kmart building near the campus.

Ron Copeland, the director of the district, said the group expects the move to create an enormous benefit to the area.

The church has been meeting in a former Walmart nearby.
