SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Indiana is seeing dangerously cold temperatures mixing with winds.

The National Weather Service reports the town of Sevastopol, about 50 miles south of South Bend, and the town of Peru, 20 miles north of Kokomo, had wind chills of 26 below zero at noon Monday, while the wind chill at Monticello was 25 below and the wind chill was 24 below at Grissom Air Reserve Base and Huntington.

Earlier Monday, it was 25 below in Valparaiso and 22 below in Gary and it hit 18 below in Indianapolis.
