DETROIT (AP) - Organizers for downtown Detroit’s annual winter festival have announced the lineup of activities and entertainment for the event.

The Meridian Winter Blast presented by Quicken Loans returns Feb. 7-9 with the 30-foot-high Buick Snow Slide, free ice skating at Campus Martius and lighted ice sculptures.

This marks the 10th year for the Winter Blast. More than 75,000 people attended last year.

Snowshoeing, dogsledding, synchronized ice skating and speed skating demonstrations will be held. Heated tents will be placed 150 feet apart.

The Killer Flamingos, The Reefermen, Kaleido, Thornetta Davis, Hot Sauce, Roots Vibrations and other acts will perform on four music stages.

Family activities will be inside the Compuware building lobby.

Admission is $2, three canned goods or non-perishable items or a children’s book.
