LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The 10th annual “Dinosaurs and Disasters” family fun day has been scheduled for Feb. 8 at the University of Nebraska State Museum in Lincoln.

Events begin at 9:30 a.m. and run to 4:30 p.m. at Morrill Hall on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s City Campus.

UNL scientists and students will provide activities and demonstrations to help museum visitors better understand the planet by exploring how natural disasters and extreme weather events occur. Visitors can test their knowledge of the Earth’s history, explore flooding and drought throughout time and learn about ancient reptiles and dinosaurs.

Mueller Planetarium will present a show called “Dinosaurs at Dusk,” which will explore the origins of flight.
