MIAMI (AP) - The lineup for the 2014 Miami International Film Festival has been announced.

The festival will kick off with the North American premiere of “Elsa & Fred,” an English-language remake of a 2008 Argentine film about an elderly couple who rediscover their passion for life. The festival will close with the world premiere of crime drama “Rob the Mob” starring Andy Garcia.

Miami Dade College revealed the lineup at a press conference Tuesday.

Ten films from Latin America, Spain and Portugal will compete for the $40,000 Knight Competition.

The festival will also deliver award a Career Achievement Tribute to actor-director Jon Turturro.

The Miami Herald (https://hrld.us/L6neRp) reports that the event runs from March 7-16. Screenings will take place at venues around Miami and Miami Beach.
