COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A 62-year-old woman is facing multiple misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty after authorities found 41 cats and three dogs living in what are being described as inhumane conditions at her Colorado Springs home.

The Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1b95pYW ) Debra Kay Minor, who owns the cats, faces 42 counts and is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 12.

Gretchen Pressley, a spokeswoman for the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, says the animals were living amid urine and feces, and some sought shelter within the home’s walls.
