NORTH HAVERHILL, N.H. (AP) - A Massachusetts inmate serving time for two murders has pleaded not guilty to the stabbing death of a New Hampshire woman more than two decades ago

Forty-seven-year-old Craig Conkey, who grew up in Dorchester, N.H., is accused of killing Theresa Reed, a 30-year-old associate registrar at Plymouth State University, in 1991. The case was re-opened in 2012.

Conkey, arraigned Tuesday, is serving two life sentences for killing two women in the 1990s in Lexington, Mass., Mary Lou Sale and Kathleen Dempsey.

The Valley News reports (https://bit.ly/1gpJc0d) Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeff Strelzin said Conkey will remain at the Grafton County Jail until his case in New Hampshire is resolved. If he’s convicted, he still would be sent back to Massachusetts to serve out his sentence there.
