GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Authorities in Greensboro say at least four firefighters have been hurt while trying to put out a blaze at an auto body repair shop.

Fire Chief Greg Grayson said Fire Captain Thomas Suddarath was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem for injuries described as non-life-threatening. Grayson said Firefighter Matthew Clapp was taken to Moses Cone Hospital after injuring his leg.

Grayson also said Capt. Shane Boswell and Firefighter Bryan Bachemin were treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.

According to Grayson, the building collapsed as firefighters were trying to put out the blaze. He said first reports indicated that a car inside Import Knight Body Repair on Elm Street ignited, spreading the fire throughout the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
