NORWOOD, Mass. (AP) - The Norfolk district attorney’s office says a man whose body was found in woods behind a Norwood middle school had been reported missing this week in Somerville.

District Attorney Michael Morrissey and Norwood Police Chief William Brooks on Thursday announced that the man was 66-year-old Vince Lalli. They said he had been reported missing earlier this week. He had last been seen a week ago.

Anyone who knows about his recent activities is urged to contact state police or Norwood police.

Lalli’s body was found Wednesday night by someone walking a dog behind the Coakley Middle School.

Authorities said the body had evidence of massive trauma. They said they believe the man was killed elsewhere and taken to the wooded location.
