SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - USC Upstate guard Ty Greene injured his hand at practice and will be out indefinitely.

Spartans coach Eddie Payne announced Greene’s loss Friday. Greene is a junior who was second on the team and fourth in the Atlantic Sun Conference with a 15.4 point a game scoring average this season.

Greene suffered a bone fracture in his right hand during practice Thursday.

Team doctor Steven Singleton said Greene won’t need an operation. Singleton said Greene will start bone stimulation treatment to quicken the healing process.

The Spartans (11-10, 4-4 A-Sun) play Kennesaw State at home on Friday and Mercer at home on Sunday.
