RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A United Kingdom-based supplier of aircraft- and engine-related products is planning to invest $27.3 million in Henry County and create 155 new jobs.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s office announced Friday that Kilgour Industries will open its first U.S. operation in southwestern Virginia.

The company supplies products to major aerospace equipment manufacturers.

McAuliffe has made luring companies like Kilgour to Virginia a top priority of his new administration.

According to the governor’s office, four other states were competing to attract Kilgour.

The governor approved a $250,000 grant to help facilitate the deal, and the state’s tobacco settlement fund paid an additional $1.15 million.
