NEW YORK (AP) - Deep Speed extended his winning streak to three with a rousing victory in his U.S. debut, the $77,000 allowance feature on the turf at Belmont Park.

The 4-year-old colt won two straight races in his native Ireland before transferring to trainer Rick Mettee’s barn. Joel Rosario was aboard as Deep Speed roared through the lane to beat Adirondack Dancer by 1½ lengths, paying $17.40, $9.80 and $8.10.

The time was 1:35.67 for a mile on the firm course

Adirondack Dancer returned $8.10 and $6.30, and Majestic Jess paid $7.30 to show.
