ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Following the recent defeat of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Virginia Republican, comedian Bill Maher said of the GOP: “So this is an entirely Christian, white party … ” That is outstandingly disingenuous. Although Mr. Maher’s implication is exactly opposite, what this actually means is that the Republican voters, certainly of many ethnicities and religions, are voting for candidates based on merits other than personal biases.

On the other hand, it seems that one could infer that the Democrats are elected by voters motivated by self-interest, either as a result of being a net “taker” (Mitt Romney was correct), or for other special interests, such as the homosexual agenda, illegal immigration, ‘green’ priorities, etc. The Democrats have this figured out and are making sure that the “taker” group grows, ensuring their perpetual control. As long as people who pay no taxes get to tell those of us who do what we have to spend them on, the country will continue its decline.
