The death of a 3-year-old D.C. boy has been ruled a homicide.

The Metropolitan Police Department announced Thursday that the boy, Xavier Lyles, died of multiple blunt force injuries.

Police were called Tuesday to the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road in Southeast for a report of an unconscious child. They found the toddler unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one has been arrested in connection with the boy’s death.

Police would not say whether they have interviewed any suspects and did not disclose who found the boy or called police.
