LAHTI, Finland (AP) - Paal Golberg won the individual cross-country final at the Lahti Ski Games on Saturday for his first World Cup triumph, finishing ahead of Russia’s Alexey Petukhov and fellow Norwegian Eirik Brandsdal.

Individual sprint champion Ola Vigen Hattestad fell and came in nearly a minute after Golberg.

In the women’s event, American sprint specialist Kikkan Randall won ahead of Katja Visnar from Slovenia and Sophie Caldwell of the United States.

Maiken Caspersen Falla of Norway, who took gold at the Sochi Olympics, fell in the final.

Randall made a successful return after failing to get a medal in the individual event at Sochi.
