BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Destiney Elliott had 20 points and 18 rebounds to lead Oneonta to a come-from-behind 51-39 win over Calera in the Class 4A girls state championship game on Saturday.

Oneonta (33-6) dominated the fourth quarter 21-6, including Elliott’s eight points. She was the tournament MVP.

It’s the Redskins’ second straight state title.

Madison Boyd hit two baskets to help Oneonta stretch a three-point lead to seven over the Eagles (26-5).

Abby Blackwood had 14 points for Oneonta and Boyd scored 12.

Calera led 33-30 after three quarters. Breonna Caldwell scored 11 points, Tyesha Haynes and A’kia Harris added 10 points each for Calera. Harris also had 10 rebounds and three blocked shots.

It’s the third 30-win season in a row for Oneonta.

The all-tournament team included Elliott, Boyd, Blackwood, Haynes, Harris and Anniston’s Quanetria Bolton.
