BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Haley Sue Foutch had 19 points and 13 rebounds as Ashland Blazer defeated Danville 64-55 Friday in the second round of the KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16.

The Tomcats (26-8) will face the winner of Lafayette-Butler in the semifinals Saturday in Diddle Arena.

Ashland Blazer made 12 free throws in the final two minutes to pull away.

The Tomcats shot 52 percent from the field while their defense held Danville (25-8) to just 28.8 percent shooting.

Mykassa Robinson scored 18 points. Alexis Robinson had 11 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots for the Region 16 champion Tomcats.

Essence Grey scored a game high 25 points for Danville. Grey also had seven rebounds for the Region 12 champions and Alyvia Walker had 12 points and two rebounds for the Lady Admirals.
