PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Mitch Hebert had 23 points and nine rebounds to lead Sheldon to a 76-54 victory over South Salem in Friday’s semifinals at the OSAA Class 4A boys tournament.

The seventh-seeded Irish (21-6) will play defending champion West Linn in the championship game on Saturday night at the Moda Center. The top-seeded Lions (24-4) defeated Jesuit 65-46 in the earlier semifinal.

South Salem led throughout the first quarter, but Nick Nestell hit a layup that gave Sheldon a 14-13 lead and the Irish cruised the rest of the way, extending the lead by as many as 27 points in the second half.

Seth Erickson had 14 points for the Saxons (25-3), who had won 25 straight going into the game.

Sophomore guard Payton Prichard had 18 points for the Lions in their win over Jesuit.

Anthony Mathis added 15 points for West Linn, which has won 19 straight. The Lions are vying for their third overall straight title. Last season they held on to defeat Central Catholic 45-41 for their first championship since 1997.

Ryan Ball had 11 points for the Crusaders (18-9), who have advanced to the semifinals 12 of the last 13 seasons. Jesuit has won six overall state titles, including four straight championships from 2009-12.
