MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Sarah Jacobson posted 18 second-half points to help Fargo Shanley find its groove and beat Minot 53-29 in the North Dakota Class A girls basketball championship Saturday.

Jacobson and Alivia Fraase opened the second half with back-to-back 3-pointers and put the Deacons (23-2) up 31-20. Jacobson’s 11-of-12 shooting from the free-throw line helped her to 28 points. She had a field goal at the buzzer for a one-point lead at half.

Fraase finished with eight points and 10 rebounds for the Deacons. Lauren Rotunda added 10 points.

After trailing by just one point at half, the Majettes (16-9) scored only nine points the entire second half. They got a team-high eight points from Brooke Suko, who hit two 3-pointers, and 10 rebounds from McKale Duttenhefer, who added five points.
