CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The addictionology program at Casper College has received national accreditation.

Edward Reading, president of the National Addiction Studies Accreditation Commission, says the program is one of the first in the United States to receive the accreditation, and is the first in Wyoming to do so. The program trains students to work with people with alcohol, drug, and other addiction problems.

Casper College addictionology instructor Diana Quealy-Berge says “students who graduate from an accredited program have assurance the courses, instructors and experiences meet national standards.”
