FRYEBURG, Maine (AP) - Maine authorities say a Fryeburg police officer and an Oxford County sheriff’s deputy were injured trying to break up a fight over the weekend.
WGME-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1ibvvQq) that Officer Mark Dyer and Deputy Richard Murray went to a Fryeburg home Saturday night and found several intoxicated men fighting inside and outside the residence.
Both men were assaulted and retreated from the home until backup arrived.
Three men were arrested: 52-year-old Harold Fall of Fryeburg, 25-year-old Jeremy Wentworth of Conway, N.H., and 23-Ian MacDonald of Lovell. It was unclear whether the men have lawyers.
