PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) - Authorities and a former employer say a man who fatally shot two female victims in Palm Springs before killing himself was a former employee at a gun store and had a large cache of weapons in his home.
John Holcomb, owner of Guns of Distinction in Palm Desert, told the Desert Sun (https://mydesert.co/1iTlCKw ) 47-year-old Delmar Davis had worked for him but quit more than a year ago with chronic back pain.
Police say Davis shot and killed his 43-year-old “on-again, off-again” girlfriend Cynthia Herrold Thursday in the gated-community home they shared. The name and age of the second victim were withheld, but local school officials say she was a student.
One gun was found near the bodies and several more firearms along with what authorities would only call destructive devices were found in the home.
